The members of the Sonoma Law Center have extensive experience in real estate transactions, corporate law, business disputes, estate planning, unlawful foreclosure, bankruptcy and litigation. But what sets the lawyers at the Sonoma Law Center apart, is that they have practical business experience, often lacking by life-time law practitioners and academics. Our experience includes negotiations on complex institutional real estate transactions, service on several Boards of privately held companies, launches of several start-up entities, and strategic planning and resolution of a myriad of complex legal and business issues.
GETTING DIRTY
Oftentimes, we accept engagements with messy people in messy situations. Since litigation requires both deep pockets and emotional fortitude, well-financed unscrupulous business people often take advantage of those lacking either. When we determine that our prospective client is being exploited, we get motivated - both intellectually and morally. And we roll up our sleeves to get dirty. While some are afraid to get dirty wrestling a pig, we’re not.

COST EFFECTIVE LEGAL WORK
Our lawyers have roots in the midwest farm communities where people worked hard to earn their money and everyone was part of a community that helped each other. We have been providing pro bono legal services and helping friends and colleagues with legal and business issues for years. Since rates for legal services have become ridiculously high, many people are unable to afford legal counsel. So we help those people.
We do this as both a matter of habit and as a matter of principle. And to help restore integrity to the legal profession.
If you have a real estate question, a business issue, an entity to form, an estate to plan, a contract to review or just a legal question, we can easily help you with that. If you have a potential legal dispute, we can give you an overview of your situation and address both the legal and practical considerations. Clarity alleviates a client's anxiety. Often one thoughtfully crafted letter from you and/or a well-strategized phone call from a lawyer can resolve the problem. There’s some comfort in knowing you have a lawyer on retainer.
